A little history: I have live in Colorado since I was 3 years old - so I do consider myself a native. I grew up in the Columbine area and my first career was in fashion. I worked for many retail stores being a manager, a buyer, a display window designer, and a stock person (when I went back to school). After 10 years I decided to go back to school and get my teaching degree. I have been teaching for 17 years now, and I absolutely love it! My students never cease to amaze me!
My family: I live in Centennial with my husband and three adorable cats: Mango (the oldest and wisest one), Penny (the tomboy), and Rayah (the goofy one). We enjoy traveling, eating yummy food, and doing 'chores' around the house (yardwork, gardening, expanding/changing the house).
Hobbies: reading, knitting, listening to music, doing 'stuff' on the computer, watching movies, and enjoying time with my friends
My Favorite Books: the Harry Potter series by JK Rowling, the Hunger Games series by Suzanne Collins, and currently reading the Pendragon series by D.J. MacHale
Students' Favorite Authors: Helen Lester (we love Tacky!), Kevin Henkes (Lily is our favorite), Jan Brett (hea animals are awesome), and Patricia Polacco (too many to decide!)
